🌱 How to Artfully Compost – A 4-Week Hands-On Class at the Farm
Turn your kitchen scraps and garden waste into garden gold — and maybe a little soul gold too. This isn’t your average compost class. Led by the fun and fabulous Cat and Grady, this 4-week series blends practical composting skills with creativity, healing, and community connection.
Over the month, you’ll learn to build and tend your own compost pile right here at the farm, explore hands-on examples from the piles already in progress, and craft a meaningful garden totem or centerpiece to take home. In the fall, we’ll invite you back to see how your compost matured and even plant seeds for next year using what you helped create!

In the specially designed blindfold the space is set with a traditional hand drum, calling in helping guides to seal the space with profound protection and gently being introduced to amplified medicine music and nature sounds as your natural movement blossoms. Elora is witness to the interactions of all involved. Intuitively redirecting if the need arises.
This full session are 3 hours.The work is revealed over a series and the participant receives as much as they consent to release.

Flicker & Fir is just the first stop on an Art Walk (or drive) that includes 12+ other nearby studios, each offering a unique window into Southtown’s artistic community. We have maps to all the other studios!

CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREME HEAT – Spa Day on the Farm
Unfortunately, there is an excessive heat warning for this weekend. And with the way farm life goes, it is a particularly stressful time. Not to mention it is not the time to be outdoors with very little shade.
If we had planned to go swimming in the river, or not have it so connected to the land and nature, we would have tried to make it work without the Geo-Dome (which will heat well above 100 degrees that day!)
WILL BE RESCHEDULED!
